How to reach the islands

Redland Bay is the departing point to take a ferry to reach the Southern Moreton Bay Islands. It is located 40 km ( one hour’s drive ) from Brisbane City, or 70 minutes from the Gold Coast.

Translink’s passenger ferry terminal is located off Banana St, only 300 metres from the barge terminal at Redland Bay. These fast catamaran commuter services depart almost every half hour, and accept Brisbane Translink Go-Cards and cash.  You may top-up your Go-Card at the ferry terminal. The ferry cost is not included in the package. Note: there is no transport costs between islands. Ferries travel clock and anti-clockwise around the four Islands.

Parking: parking around the Passenger Ferry Terminal should be easy to find around 8am. If no parks are available, look for car park in Meissner Street, 300 metres away. Additional parking may also be found near the barge terminal, and a new carpark to be completed in 2020 at Moores Road.

Public transport: buses and trains depart the Brisbane City and Cleveland for Redland Bay Ferry Terminal / Redland Bay Marina regularly on a daily basis. The tour departures are designed to link with the public transport timetable. For more details, please visit https://jp.translink.com.au/plan-your-journey/journey-planner/results
